6 Weeks!

So it is time to get off my butt and put that behind of mine into shape... I got a clean bill of health from the doc so I guess I have no more excuses! I only have about 5 pounds to lose to get to my prepregnancy weight, but that doesn't say much. I have so much more to lose. I would love to have my old body back, the one that I had before I got married, but I know that isn't realistic... 2 babies later. But I know I can be healthy again. So I'm challenging myself to lose the weight and get back into shape. I'm not recording my weight here, after all, I don't want the whole world to know... but I do want to lose about 30 pounds. I know I can do it and I hope to do it by this time next year. So I need a motivator... something that I can look forward to and work for. I was talking with Scott and I always wanted to go to Hawaii and Europe. What do you think, can a nice trip be my reward? Would it work? I don't know, I just hope to feel better about myself and fit into some of my clothes in my closet. So it's time to start... Wish me luck!

A day with the trains...

For the 24th of July we decided to take a little trip out to see the trains at Golden Spike Historical Park up near Brigham City. It was about an hour drive from our house and we packed up the kids and took off. After paying our fee to see the trains we walked out the door and the first thing that happened was the train tooted it's horn. It was very loud that it made everyone jump. Poor Emma woke up and it scared Ethan. It took a lot of work to get Ethan to go see the trains up close. After all, he is scared of just about everything these days. He warmed up to the trains and hasn't stopped talking about them since.

Cool trains...

Ethan and daddy!

This is how Emma enjoyed the trip... asleep.

No, Ethan isn't sunburned... His face turns very red when it is hot and it was very hot out in the middle of nowhere.

Sprinkler Fun!

Ethan's new thing these days is to go outside in the evening with daddy and run through the sprinklers. We've had to spot water our lawn and the first thing that Ethan does now is get wet. Though, if we try to set up his water toy or change him into his swimsuit, we can't get him to do anything. Go figure...
This is pretty much the face Ethan pulls when approaching the sprinkler.

Getting wet!

Stomping off... We were trying to get him to play in the water to get some pics of him and this was his reaction...

Emma and I watching Ethan play... Ok, just me, but loving the snuggle time with Emma...

Too Busy to Take a Nap!

See what happens when a certain little boy doesn't want to take a nap... He starts pulling out the wipes!

4th of July Fun!

For 4th of July we decided to take a drive and see the Dinosaur Park near Ogden Canyon. We thought Ethan would love it and it would give us a chance to get out. We'll we got out, but Ethan was petrified! First dinosaur we saw was a robotic dino and Ethan stopped right in his tracks and started to whimper... He was so scared of the dinos... Great! We took him outside and he warmed up gradually to the dinos... We started off with feeding the ducks, which he loved! Eventually, we were able to get him to walk around and look at the dinos, but we couldn't get him to stand or sit on one.

Feeding the ducks!

That's my boy!

He finally started to like the dinosaur park!
