6 Weeks!

So it is time to get off my butt and put that behind of mine into shape... I got a clean bill of health from the doc so I guess I have no more excuses! I only have about 5 pounds to lose to get to my prepregnancy weight, but that doesn't say much. I have so much more to lose. I would love to have my old body back, the one that I had before I got married, but I know that isn't realistic... 2 babies later. But I know I can be healthy again. So I'm challenging myself to lose the weight and get back into shape. I'm not recording my weight here, after all, I don't want the whole world to know... but I do want to lose about 30 pounds. I know I can do it and I hope to do it by this time next year. So I need a motivator... something that I can look forward to and work for. I was talking with Scott and I always wanted to go to Hawaii and Europe. What do you think, can a nice trip be my reward? Would it work? I don't know, I just hope to feel better about myself and fit into some of my clothes in my closet. So it's time to start... Wish me luck!

  1. Good Luck! I'm with you in spirit. And then I will be with you for real after this baby is born. I'm actually thinking of starting a separate weight loss blog when the time comes. Unfortunately for me, it will take longer than 6 weeks to be able to start exercising full force again. I'll be rooting for you!

  2. Heck yes! That would be an fabulous motivator for me.
    Or, my BIL just got done with a "Biggest Loser" type contest at work and won. He lost almost 30 lbs and won a couple hundred bucks. Reporting your progress to someone is always a great motivator. Get a group together and do a competition of your own.
