I have to make this quick... who knows when they'll wake up and start terrorizing me again. The kids are asleep which is very rare these days. Ethan still naps for 2+ hours in the afternoon, but Emma isn't a good napper. It takes me 30 mins. to get her to sleep and she then only sleeps for 30 mins. It is exhausting! Last night she fell asleep for the night at 7:30ish and treated that as a nap and was up at 8:30 and wouldn't go back to sleep until 10:00... In result, Emma slept through the whole night, until 6:30 the next morning! She is taking a 2+ hour nap now, what a blessing!
Ethan is definitely 3 now... He is terrible! He is finally getting some independence which I like, but a little too independent. He as regressed with potty training. He is scared to poop and therefore, he holds it all day and eventually lets it out in his undies. He's starting to have more "accidents." They're really aren't accidents, he just doesn't want to go potty. We have to keep on him to go to the potty and sometimes force him. He doesn't want to wear diapers anymore, just undies. He is draining me of my sanity. We are using stars for making it to the potty and frowny faces for accidents. And if has a accident free day he gets a reward. To top it all off, Ethan is very shy around other adults and when he is at preschool or grandma's he won't ask for help, so more accidents.
And to top off all this fun stuff with the kids, Scott is going to be gone a lot this month. So this should be fun. Oh, well... this is what I signed up for, right? K... I'm done!

I'm so sorry it's been so hard with the potty training. Though I don't have a girl, I firmly believe that the majority of girls train A LOT easier than boys(just from talking to other parents). Just keep reminding yourself that this might be a bigger step for him than you realize (I had to remind myself of that constantly) and don't fill your mind with deadlines. They will only frustrate you when say, 2 weeks from now he is STILL NOT TRAINED. I thought Austin was trained for sure, and then a month later he started having "Accidents"(completely on purpose) again. I'm with you. Two kids is TOUGH. Just remember it won't be like this forever. (Good and bad)!
