OK... can you believe this is the first time we carved pumpkins. What's wrong with us! I know I had a good time and I'm sure the kids did too... but Scott... he couldn't even get his hands in there...

It took a lot of convincing to get Ethan to put his hands in there!
The kids are fascinated!
So I stepped up and I put my hands in there and did it! It was a bit smelly and slimy... but it was fun! Brought back a lot of good memories!
Scott wanted more of a masterpiece, but realized we are beginners and decided next year we will be more prepared... so I did the classic jack-o-lantern face... Not too bad, if I can say so myself!
Ethan with his pumpkin... He did help gutting the thing...well, sort of!
Little Emma had to be where the action is... up front and center! She just looks so innocent!
So next year, make sure you get the pumpkin carving kits. They make carving SOOOO much easier and they cost nothing. Also use a carving template on your pumpkin. They make "masterpieces" much easier as well.
