To tell you the truth, I'm not really into Valentine's Day. Why do we need a day to celebrate love and friendship? Really, shouldn't we do that everyday all year long. I think it is just an excuse to get each other something special. Though, I have to admit, presents are nice to get. Scott did spoil me this year. Probably because he had the whole week to think about it and plan for something nice. First he got me some flowers, which were really beautiful. He also got me a new watch to replace the watch I lost at San Diego Zoo last month and he gave me a gift certificate for a 90 minute massage. That was a complete surprise. I'll be using that soon. It has been a rough weekend here at the Newman's and I will definitely need some time to relax.
There is no going out for Valentine's Day... Emma had other plans.
On Friday we took Emma to the doctors because the runny nose that she already had for 2 weeks turned into a cold... She was coughing and had trouble sleeping. I wanted to take her in, just in case, before the weekend. We had to go through 2 docs before we found one that was in office that day. Scott took her in and everything was checking out that it was just a cold and it was an after thought of the doc to test her for RSV. So an hour later we get a call and was told she had RSV. BUMMER! So I've had a poor little sick baby all weekend. She wouldn't eat, but I was still able to nurse her... Thank goodness for that... She was needy and only wanted mommy. Scott did take her when we could get away with it. She is now feeling better, but it will be a whole other week before she is completely over the coughing and wheezing. Now the fun part is... I'm now getting sick! Lovely!
Emma today... Feeling much better!
