The FUN Never Stops!

This past weekend the Riddles got together to have an old fashion Halloween party. Now I know what you are thinking, Halloween was over a week ago. Yes, we had a belated Halloween party because Nathan and his family were coming down and we wanted to include them. As a child, I remember having a Halloween party with my family for FHE or something like that and now that the grandkids are getting a little older we started up this old tradition once again. It was a blast... we had dinner - THANKS MOM!, Played - Catch the donut on a string - and - Pin the nose on the pumpkin. The kids had so much fun. Most of all it was great getting together and being a family. Scott took some amazing pics from that night and I wish I could post them all, but here are some just to get an idea of the chaos!
The kids dressed up and became part of a photo shoot! Here's my little ladybug!

The kids enjoyed watching each other and their parents making a fool of themselves!

Ethan tagged that nose right where it belongs... I wonder if he was peeking???

Yes, that is me... Playing the donut game with extra gooey donuts... I had glaze all over my face and hair, but it was tons of fun!

Ethan trying his luck... The object of the game was to catch the donut without using your hands. It is harder than it looks... especially when you are blindfolded.

Lydia just got her tonsils out a couple of days before this pic...

I loved Austin's bat costume! Ethan loved playing with Austin! I wish they lived a little closer than Rock Springs!

This picture is just priceless of my sweet little Emma!

Skyler... need I say more?

Not sure what is up with Uncle Nay... But it was good to see them again!

"No, I'm Buzz Lightyear!"

Today on the way home from Alyssa's Baptism, Ethan and I were singing "I'm a Child of God." After the song I asked Ethan, "Are you a child of God?" He said, "No, I'm Buzz Lightyear!" He was referring to his Halloween costume... Silly Ethan!

Halloween FUN!

Halloween was so much fun this year. Ethan dressed up as Buzz Lightyear and Emma was a little lady bug. Yes, I just picked these up at Walmart. Not very creative this year and if I asked Ethan what he wanted to be for Halloween I wouldn't have much luck. So maybe next year I will be the domestic one and make a costume instead of buying one... Well, we'll see!
Scott had to take three planes to get home in time to take Ethan trick or treating! But if you ask him, he'll say it was worth it. Ethan loved having his daddy home!

Ethan with his pumpkin bucket! I think he did pretty good!

Buzz and Ladybug

I think she was adorable... Scott took her to the neighbors to show her off and Alicia brought her home. Next year it will be a lot of fun taking her around with Ethan.

My little ladybug!

"Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!"

Alicia and Russ brought Melina up to go trick or treating with Ethan! From what I understand, Ethan was leaving her in the dust as he ran from house to house. Next year I think I will be tagging along with the kids instead of staying home!

4 Months

Look who's 4 months! Emma is growing up so fast. We went to the doctor this morning... Here is where she measures up...

Height: 25.5 inches (84%)
Weight: 14 lb. 7 oz. (60%)
OFC: 16.2" (48%)
As you can see she is a long baby! Must take after Scott... She is healthy and developing as she should. She discovered her voice and won't be forgotton! She loves to play with toys and can grasp things really well. She is starting to really reach for things... loves to grab hands, hair, clothes or anything nearby and try to put them in her mouth. Emma isn't a good sleeper and likes to take cat naps throughout the day. She still likes to wake up about 3:00 am for an extra feedings... loves to eat. Though, she doesn't like the rice cereal very well. Still working on that. She is very close to rolling over from back to tummy. She just needs to figure out how to untuck her arm. She loves her brother and her mommy and daddy.

Big Brother...Little Sister

As most of you know, Ethan and Emma are my world... I've been blessed with the most adorable kids. As Emma is growing up and getting bigger she is starting to become more interactive. Ethan loves this. He loves playing with her. He hands her toys, tries to help her roll, always there when she is trying something new and being her cheerleader. Ethan loves Emma and Emma loves Ethan... She always gets a big smile when Ethan is around and she loves looking at him. Here are some pics of my precious babies!

Ethan sharing his "baby" with Emma. This is pretty big because his baby is probably his most important possession.

Always around wanting to help... Emma first time in the high chair about ready to try some cereal.
Ethan wearing a bow "just like Emma."

Always wants to sit by Emma.

Ethan always wants to sit with Emma on mommy's lap.

He loves to hold Emma.

So precious!
My babies!

The Pumpkin Patch

For preschool this week we took the kids to Black Island Farms. It was so much fun! This is the pumpkin patch...

My cute little preschooler... He was so excited to go!

Ethan got to see some farm animals up close...

His preschool buddies.

Ethan thought the pig was so funny.

Running through the maze!

Going up!

Going down!

A train pulled by a tractor!

On the hay ride and the farmers talked about different kinds of corn.

This was the best part, Ethan got to pick out his own pumpkin! "This is kinda heavy!"

URG!

I have to make this quick... who knows when they'll wake up and start terrorizing me again. The kids are asleep which is very rare these days. Ethan still naps for 2+ hours in the afternoon, but Emma isn't a good napper. It takes me 30 mins. to get her to sleep and she then only sleeps for 30 mins. It is exhausting! Last night she fell asleep for the night at 7:30ish and treated that as a nap and was up at 8:30 and wouldn't go back to sleep until 10:00... In result, Emma slept through the whole night, until 6:30 the next morning! She is taking a 2+ hour nap now, what a blessing!

Ethan is definitely 3 now... He is terrible! He is finally getting some independence which I like, but a little too independent. He as regressed with potty training. He is scared to poop and therefore, he holds it all day and eventually lets it out in his undies. He's starting to have more "accidents." They're really aren't accidents, he just doesn't want to go potty. We have to keep on him to go to the potty and sometimes force him. He doesn't want to wear diapers anymore, just undies. He is draining me of my sanity. We are using stars for making it to the potty and frowny faces for accidents. And if has a accident free day he gets a reward. To top it all off, Ethan is very shy around other adults and when he is at preschool or grandma's he won't ask for help, so more accidents.

And to top off all this fun stuff with the kids, Scott is going to be gone a lot this month. So this should be fun. Oh, well... this is what I signed up for, right? K... I'm done!
